For more than 70 years, Lokay Lanes has been a staple of the Monroeville community. It is still proudly family-run.
Don't be surprised if you hear our staff calling one another "Aunt" or "Uncle" — because they really are. And if you catch a few older ladies bickering like sisters… well, that's probably because they are.

How We Got Here
The Long Version
- 1950s
A&B Bowling Alley
The center opens on Mosside Boulevard and starts a run that has now lasted more than seventy years in the Monroeville community.
- 1990s
Mosside Lanes — and Hollywood
Operating as Mosside Lanes, the center becomes a filming location for the Farrelly brothers' bowling comedy Kingpin, starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid and Bill Murray.
- 2000
The Lokay Brothers Buy In
Brothers Jack & Jim Lokay purchase Mosside Lanes. With their brothers George, Rich and Tim — plus a lot of family and friends — they gut the place and rebuild it.
- 2001
Lokay Lanes Opens
The center reopens in September as Lokay Lanes. For more than twenty years the Lokay brothers run it as a family-owned business built around the community.
- 2022
The Next Generation
In July, brothers John and Justin Lokay take over with a plan to modernize without losing the history. Day-to-day operations are run by their aunt, Debbie Legg (Pompilio) — if you hear "Aunt Deb," that's the boss.

Fully Overhauled
Twenty USBC-sanctioned synthetic lanes, Funk string pinsetters, Steltronic scoring, Pinheads Lounge and a kitchen that people come back for.

The Kingpin Connection
Before it was Lokay Lanes, this building was Mosside Lanes — and in the mid-90s it served as a filming location for Kingpin, the Peter & Bobby Farrelly bowling comedy starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, Vanessa Angel and Bill Murray.
Big Ernie McCracken, Roy Munson, and one of the great bad haircuts in film history. The movie has aged into a cult classic, and the lanes it was shot on are still here — resurfaced, re-pinned, and open every week.
Come throw a few frames on a genuine piece of bowling-movie history. We won't even make you wear the hair.
